The ‘Dedicated' Premier Field Engineer role focuses on delivering proactive services and reactive services to assigned customer(s) that make a difference in customer and Partner organizations. Proactive engagements are value-added services delivered to customer to help reduce risk and/or improve the performance of their application, and reactive support delivers onsite expertise to compliment a reactive support incident. This role will require you to accumulate, maintain, and demonstrate technical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX and related Microsoft products. You will apply this knowledge to each customer through proactive and preventative work to promote organizational health and reduce risk at their site. This role requires the ability to acknowledge opportunities and solve real world customer business problems by leveraging Microsoft Business Solutions Applications and technologies. Strong product knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX is required; communication and customer relations skills are needed to complement product and technical knowledge. Goal: To improve customer health for mid-market and enterprise Microsoft Dynamics AX implementations. Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include providing on-site or remote technical support solutions for customer service delivery and availability, while ensuring satisfaction with Microsoft software. The successful candidate will be capable of providing field technical support and proactive service presence for groups in the Microsoft Services organization, including but not limited to Premier and Professional Support, Microsoft Consulting Services, and escalation engineers. The Premier Field Engineer acts as the primary onsite technical contact, providing customer visibility, advanced technical troubleshooting support and problem resolution for corporate customers, including issues escalated to the highest levels of management. The candidate will provide technical support including product technical training onsite, as well as via telephone, and electronic media. Candidate must be able to manage hot issues by setting customer expectations, devising and implementing action plans, being available 24x7 and professionally communicating to all parties involved. Candidate will work with customers in Austin, TX. Travel requirements vary and can be as much as 15-25%. Candidate must be available for travel dispatch 24x7x365 to customers located in Austin, TX. Qualifications: 4 year technical degree or equivalent work experience, 5+ years customer experience. Ideal candidate must have 2+ years experience with the Microsoft Dynamics AX product. MCSE strongly preferred, but not required at hire. Evidence of implementation background with Dynamics AX, is a plus. The candidate will be asked to demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX, Windows, SQL Server technologies and will be expected to apply this knowledge through proactive and reactive service delivery. Microsoft Certified Business Management Solutions Professional - Installation and Configuration for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 certification preferred but not required at hire; will be expected to be completed within 12 months of hire. Candidate must possess the ability to effectively communicate with customer managers and executives on technical and business issues. Strong organization, communication, problem solving, time management, and negotiation skills.
