  Alumni & Corporate Relations Coordinator

The Ithaca College School of Business invites applications for a full-time, temporary Alumni & Corporate Relations Coordinator based in the New York City region (expected end date: August 23, 2012. Initial funding for this position is for two years, after which the appointment will be conditional on availability of continuing funding). Residing in the region, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of the alumni and corporate relations program within the School of Business and assist with the strategic management of the programs; establish and maintain relationships with alumni, corporate representatives, and other campus offices to ensure the School of Business meets program objectives; work closely with Career Services to develop partnerships, internships and employment opportunities to achieve common goals and maximize the success of the program and collaborate on activities such as career fairs, networking events, and alumni and corporate outreach to solidify our mutual commitment to serving School of Business students. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business or closely related field and a minimum of three years experience interacting with alumni; strong organizational, interpersonal communication and creative thinking/reasoning skills; demonstrated competency to oversee multiple tasks with attention-to-detail; ability and initiative to cultivate relations, build partnerships, and work effectively with a broad range of internal and external constituents; demonstrated ability to function independently from a remote location; and ability to give demonstrations and seminars to large and small groups of differing clientele are required. Extensive knowledge of Ithaca College School of Business programs and alumni; experience with heavy public contact in situations requiring keen judgment and innovation; experience in alumni and/or employer relations; a master's degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in an academic environment preferred.
