["Provides management-level technical knowledge and advice to solve problems, including installation, testing, and evaluation of new software; monitoring; and support of systems. The manager ensures the service teams maintain and improve system security and reliability for the campus enterprise computing infrastructure. Responsibilities include communication with the University community to assess customer needs, determine the appropriate technology solution, and oversee the timely implementation of the recommended solution. The incumbent will be responsible for developing University-wide Information Technology service polices for the services they are responsible for. The depth and breadth of these policies will impact all faculty, staff, students, alumni, volunteers and other University affiliates accessing the information technology infrastructure and services provided by the University.", "Works as a direct supervisor of department personnel.
