["Extrapolate information from client documentation and communications, as well as legal and government sources, in order to accurately prepare Department of Labor forms and applications such as the following:\r\n\t\t-Prevailing wage requests to the US Department of Labor\r\n\t\t-Labor Condition Attestations to the US Department of Labor\r\n\t-Labor Certification Applications to the US Department of Labor\r\n\r\n\tExtrapolate information from client documentation and communications, as well as legal and government sources, in order to accurately prepare U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services forms, applications, petitions and filings that apply to the following requests:\r\n\t\t-H-1B petitions\r\n\t\t-Trade NAFTA beneficiaries\r\n\t\t-Applications for adjustment of status and for change of status\r\n\t\t-Employment-based and family-sponsored immigrant visa petitions\r\n-Employment authorization\r\n-Travel authorization\r\n-Action on approved petition (such as consular notification, request for duplicate notices)\r\n\r\n\tExtrapolate information from client documentation and communications in order to prepare National Visa Center and Department of State forms\r\n\r\n\tDirect inquiries to the Departments of Labor, Department of State, US and foreign Consulates and Embassies, and follow up as needed\r\n\r\n\tAdvise, under the supervision of the Director, university units and prospective as well as current faculty, researchers and staff, concerning routine immigration matters. \r\n\r\n\tManage, monitor and, using appropriate judgment, take appropriate actions with respect to above-noted duties. \r\n\r\n\tAssist the Alternate Responsible Officer of the University’s Exchange Visitor Program by:\r\n\r\n- Lending support in the preparation and issuance of documents (DS-2019) for scholars’ and dependents’ visa applications\r\n-Communicating with the Office of International Admissions, scholars and hosting departments about the status of DS-2019s requested, scholars’ arrivals and J-1 orientation programs\r\n-Offering J-1 orientation programs\r\n-Assisting in the validation of scholars in SEVIS upon arrival in the U.S. or changing their start date if they are delayed\r\n-Monitoring scholars’ statuses, including updating forms for travel, and notifying scholars and hosting departments of upcoming expirations, etc.\r\n-Advising scholars, under the supervision of the ARO, regarding immigration and other concerns during their stay at UB\r\n-Working with the Student Medical Insurance Office to monitor mandatory health insurance coverage for scholars and their dependents\r\n-Providing data on scholars upon request and for the IIE Open Doors Report on Scholars, and preparing the Annual Report to the Department of State for review by the Director of UBIS\r\n-Preparing/submitting billing reports regarding DS-2019s", "Review client documentation for completeness and legal sufficiency, set up file and docket all relevant dates, anniversaries, expiration dates, etc. Contact clients to request missing documentation and/or information. Follow up with clients as needed. Inform university departments of any expiration dates in a timely manner. Maintain current all client files. Document all information received and actions taken in iOffice and hard copy files. File incoming electronic and hard copy mail", "Conduct legal research (information gathering) using immigration and non-immigration statutes, regulations, case law, Congressional records, etc. Summarize legal findings and memoranda for use by UB Immigration Services, the client, and other interested parties.", "Enter client data into the client databases. Generate reports for UB Immigration Services and Office of International Education, and for external agencies, as requested by Director.", "Supervise the work of the UB Immigration Services Graduate and Student Assistants; assign, monitor and give feedback on tasks; ensure that the GA and SA do not work outside the scope of responsibilities or beyond their expertise or allotted time."]
