Senior Research Scientist

Buffalo, New York ~ June 08, 2020

The Department of Physiology and Biophysics and the new chair of the department seeks a Senior Research Scientist to be responsible for in vivo and in vitro monitoring and quantitative analyses of signaling pathways in primary cells, brain slices and live animals. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise and documented experience in quantitative imaging technologies and sophisticated microscopy and their applications to in vitro and/or in vivo cell and animal models of neurological or psychiatric conditions. Experience with primary cultures and IPSCs are desirable but not required. In addition, you will be responsible for supporting the research mission of the University at Buffalo by being a publishing scholar in peer review publications and contributing as a PI and or a co-investigator in grant applications. You will organize and participate in departmental, national and international conferences.
